As a result of an earthquake near Sumatra, Indonesia on the December 26, 2004; several parts of the northwest Malaysian coastal areas, including the islands of Penang and Langkawi, were hit by giant waves. As we know, Malaysia did not suffer as much destruction as some of its neighbouring Asian countries. That was just about 10 months ago.
Last two weeks;

When i looked at the location, its Feringghi la pulak. Mom quite worried when she knows about the trip. Sumhow, tried to convice her that we will be allright InsyaAllah.
I surf surf internet before the trip. Of course to know what is the condition of the hotel after the destructive Asian tsunami tu. I found this, this is what they claimed; actually with few pictures that made my heart relieved but im not going to post it here, sure tambah panjang entry ni..baik signup for Fotopages. Eheh. *Wink*
Grand Plaza Parkroyal, Penang
"Our beach had experienced a small tidal wave, approximately 2 metres. We are pleased to inform that there were no injuries or damage to property and the hotel is operating as normal. Rest assured that Batu Ferringhi and the Grand Plaza Parkroyal, Penang is safe to enjoy a good holiday."
Alhamdulillah kami semua cekalkan hati, and we went off with niat yang murni...hundredzzz of pictures taken during the trip. (not by me, by this clique of course) Perhaps they need to polish their photography skill kot. Tu diorang belasah je amik gambar every single time. *Big Grin* These are few pictures that i'd love to lekat here..

Conclusion; Tourists are slowly returning now to Penang Island and of course the fact that life goes on...
