Inseparable

Saturday Oct 15

"Dot, where are you? Setia Indah or UTM?" Su called.
"UTM, why? Ko kat mana? KL ke kat JB?"
"Aku kat umah mak larkin ni, balik JB sbb nenek Poji warded"
"Oh ye ke, sorry to hear that.."
"She's fine now n discharged today. Jom kita keluar lepas buka posa. Aku nak gi fetch ko sorang2 tak berani, aku bring Poji along lah ye."
"Tak kisah jer, asal dia sanggup nak follow kita dua shopping dah lah. Eh baby ko bwk tak?" "Aku blk sini tak bwk stroller lah, so aku tinggal dia kat umah jer lah dgn sis in law aku, kita nak gi jln mana ek, Jusco ok ke?"
"O ok la, Jusco kan can be consider da-most-happening-mall here. Tak yah gi jauh2 ar, susah pulak kalau ko balik lambat kesian dgn Afif nnt."
"Ok 8.30pm aku gerak."

Su fetched me up at 8.45pm with her hubby driving the car. Upon arriving the Jusco, Su requested "Abang, when you feel enuff of walking and looking around we meet back at benches infront of Guardian tu ek". Poji nodded and smiled. Understood. I'm glad Poji was so sporting to this friendship. So off me and Su went for our window shopping. Still holding hands just like before. Bukan senang nak dpt this private time together since she married and now with Afif summore. Girls talk! When it comes to 'girls talk' u know lah kan. Sumkindof wishy-washy one. Buat setakat hari ni, im glad to hv a best friends that own by sporting hubbies. Other than Su's hubby there were Fara's (Hasnol), Enol's (Ariq), Cheura's (Abg Sepul) and Anis's (Abg Der), Kuzie's (Dian) and tak lupa Norfa's (Za). These couples have been a super duper great friend of mine these yearsss...Others not mention here were great too, jgn kicik ati. Sumhow these couples were the one i close with.

So back to kami yang di Jusco tadi, we talk talk while cuci mata here and there. From ladies garments to Afif's pampers sections. Su kept comparing the prices with Tesco. "Woaaarr mahal2nya kat JB ni. Beza no dari yg aku beli kat sana. Ish tak leh beli lar kat sini." That was the conclusion she had to every section we visited. "Woo mentang2 ko dah jadi org KL, baru ko rasa ye barang kat JB ni mahal. Nwy no wonder lah we in JB ni habis bulan habis gaji. Susah nak menyimpan. Rupanya kitorang ni kaya2 ek beli barang2 mahal." We laughed.

When we talked about career, Su shared sum of her experiences being a teacher at a boarding school in PutraJaya. She claimed that the life of a teacher might be less hectic or stressful and there will definitely be a pay cheque at the end of each month. BUT be prepared that actually this profession can be monotonous, doing the same thing year in and year out. Her statement make me re-think and think-deep, humph no wonder there are many burn-outs in the profession. Neither are there ample opportunities for promotion. Su said, " if u choose teaching as your life career; love your job, love your school and love your students esp! U will meet various faces in yr classroom, believe me." That was a piece of advice from Su. It gave me a clear picture on the profession sikit2.. Considering all this, I am sure that teaching is sumthing that i like doing. However i dont really have the experience facing students in a classroom and handling the syllabus as well as their colorful attitude. So i advice myself, whenever i reach a T-junction in mylife, i need to do sum istikharah work, think carefully before making a decision and weigh the pros and the cons first. I hope Allah will shed some light on the right decision. Look before you leap.

Three of us hang out till 10.30pm, minum2 at McD..then she sent me home. Peluk peluk and we bade goodbye. Hope we will meet raya nanti. Su, thanks for everything u've done for me! (Thou she doesnt even know this Setia Indah's existence..eheh.)
