Last week, i went to MPH dengan kak Chah and her 2 angels, Dina (6 yrs old) n Ifan (4 yrs old).
"Linda pilihkan lah buku citer melayu utk Dina ni." Kak Chah requested.
"Ok no problem, Ifan tak yah ke?"
"Anak bujang aku sorang ni lain sikit. Tersa....ngat lah 'rajin' nak baca buku. Buku kat umah pun dia belum khatam lagi."
"Ooohhh eheh ok. Paham2.."
Choosing an appropriate stori book for 6 yrs old kid is not easy, unless we know very well her performance level. After much careful thought, however, I have decided on 2 interesting malay stori books; Lempeng Gergasi and %$%!#$ (haiyar tak ingat lah pulak tajuk lagi satu tu. Hisy apalah teruk no memori aku ni). Kak Chah agreed. While waiting Kak Chah for her another book hunting session, i just roaming around the book shelves and my eyes stucked pada buku2 Enid Blyton. Teringat kisah silam, dulu kecik2 suka baca2 buku Enid Blyton. I grew up with her mystery and adventure stories. Tapi tu memang dah lama sangat, and even dulu2 stori book Enid Blyton ni bukunya buruk2 sikit. Kertas kuning. Biler tgk terbitan baru ni, rasa jeles pulak. Childrens nowadays are soo lucky. Buku cantik2. Hardcover lagi. Uhuuuuu.. Jealous jealous. Ambil one of The Faraway Tree series. Its fantasy tales. Selak2 buku tu, hummph interesting. Rasa dah lama pulak tak baca buku2 fantasy cam ni. Looking at the price. RM11.90. Hah! Very very affordable lah. Kak Chah tercengang when she saw me carrying that book to the cashier. Finally i bought one of the series; "The Folk Of The Faraway Tree" for my ownself. Eheh.
"Awak nak beli utk sapa tu?"
"Aahahah, orang nak baca ar kak. Dah lama tak baca buku2 fairy tale cam ni. Eheh.."
"Hai awak nak jadi budak2 balik ek.." she gave her big grin.

Then off we went to Jusco to window2 shopping.
